Göteborg, Sweden (Feb 23, 2018). Vehco's competition in Eco-Driving, "Vehco Eco-Driving Challenge" is voluntary among Vehco’s customers and it is based on the Vehco Eco-Driving Index . The index is based on six driving parameters that have a great influence on the driving behavior. The driving behavior has improved during the competition. When Vehco analysed the data, the improved behavior proved to deliver major fuel savings . Vehco's estimate shows that the competing companies lowered their total consumption by approx.. 700 100 liters of diesel, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions of approximately 1 850 tonnes and savings of about 770 K€.

To make the competition even more exiting, the 50 competing companies were divided into 6 different classes based on country (SE, NO, FI, DK, DE, FR) and in a class for bus operators in Europe . During the competition Vehco has continuously updated a performance chart on the company's website to keep all stakeholders informed about the leaders. We all learned a lot during the competition. But the work of eco-driving does not stop here, this was just the beginning, but a good start to the work now will continue and be further developed. "
